what do you do to stop foul breath, halitosis?
could you use the baking soda also to stop the smell in your mouth?
Dental care?
Use a good tongue scraper, floss your teeth regularly, brush your teeth after each meal. Use a good mouthwash - I recommend Biotene - it's a little expensive but no alcohol, and it has natural enzymes.
Keep those new little sheets handy that are made by listerine.
Reply:I buy a pre-brushing dental wash and then brush my teeth and tongue and then used mouthwash - it really helps - foul breath could ALSO be a sign of bad health - check with your dentist or your doctor!@
Reply:See your dentist .there may be another health problem also , when you see your dentist ask for a tongue brush ...really .there is such a thing .Food particles get caught on your tongue too ....
Another consideration is to see an eye ,ear , nose and throat doctor .You may have allergies or an infection in your sinuses .get it done and feel better .....

Dental Care?
My boyfriend needs 3 root canals because he wasn't able to go to the dentist for years. He has no insurance and doesn't have good credit, he lives in Arizona around Phoenix and is 18 years old. He doesn't make enough money to pay for the treatment, any suggestions?
Dental Care?
As a dentist I recommend calling your counties local Department of Family and Childrens Services. A lot of these services actually have a dentist on staff that is available to help with any dental procedures you may need. If your county DFCS office does not provide any type of dental services they should be able to put you into contact with someone who will be able to assist you (ex: another state agency). Also try your local dental school if there is one around you, these procedures are usually provided and are very low in cost compared to a dental office itself. Good luck and I hope you find the help you need.
Reply:Find a dental school looking for root canal patients
Reply:Look for a dental college. They have clinics where the studends do dental care at greatly reduced fees or even free. The students are supervised by licensed dentists. Good luck.
Reply:dental school or low income clinics
Reply:I agree with the above answers on getting treatment at a dental school. A dental school typically charges fees half that of a dentist. Even though the service is provided by dental students, they are supervised at all times and the quality of care is very good.
There are two dental schools in the Phoenix area-- Midwestern School of Dentistry in Glendale, and Arizona School of Dental and Oral Health in Mesa. You should contact them and see if they are taking patients.
Good luck.
Reply:To help you save money on your procedures, I would suggest using a dental benefits plan. Credit doesn't matter and pre-existing conditions are covered. Any dental work is expense, so it is wise to go with a plan that will save you money. I have a dental plan that is very affordable for my family. They have been around for 15 years and are the #1 Provider Access Organization in the U.S. It is only $19.95 for an entire household. If it is just you, then the cost is on $11.95 a month. There is no deductible or co-pay. Cosmetic procedures are covered. All specialists and even braces are covered. There are no caps or limits utilizing the benefits. The providers within the network are of high quality and value. Do your research at http://Stacie.OneSimpleCard.com . This plan may be of good use for you. I hope this info is helpful for you. Have a good day.

Dental care??????????
i have been having regular trips to the dentist he has told me that you need a soft tooth brush and you need to go around every tooth with rounding motion especially near the gum area for the tounge try buying a tooth brush with a backing made for tongue cleaing
Reply:Dear friend,
don't worry....
stop think about yr teeth...just brush it twise with good toothbrush and paste...Tooth paste !!!
Reply:which village do u belong to..................... hehe
Reply:I am a dentist. The old school of thought was to brush in circles or up and down rapidly, however these are old and no longer the most widely accepted way to brush. You should brush your teeth in a back and forth motion with a soft tooth brush angled at 45 degrees to tooth and gums. Google the stillman technique or visit
http://www.odontocat.com/angles/prevplac... for pictures to better describe how to properly brush. You should get a Sonicare brand toothbrush, they range from $30-$150 but the money spent cost less than a filling on one tooth and it will keep your mouth healthy for years to come. Also rinse with listerine and only listerine 2x a day.
Reply:why so much bothred massarge your gums with you fingure and brush should be soft

Regular Ibprofen works great, believe it or not, and it is what I live by, for my current state of unresolved cavities and incoming wisdom teeth. But if you are looking for something else, chloroseptics work temporarily, or maximum strength (not baby) orajel works wonders, too. But be ware that that actually numbs your mouth, so if you still need to talk, I wouldn't suggest it. Ibprofen would be what I would suggest first. Or ask a local pharmacist.
Reply:use ambsasl or orajel
Reply:I totally sympathise, drug your self senseless it's the worst pain ever

Where can i find an affordable dental insurance that can help pay for braces if you are over 18 in New Jersey?
Dental CAre?
If its not offered through your employer, then don't bother. Most companies only have orthodontic coverage if the employer is over a certain number of employees (25?) So, finding true insurance for just one individual is near impossible. Also, don't be misled by discount plans (sold at Sam's or Costco), they are not the same. They give a discount to you when you go to their providers, watch out though, the doctors are usually not good. They sign up to be on the plan to gain referrals and have to compensate the discount by either having higher prices or have to have more patients. This makes the quality of care go down usually. Also, you may pay more for membership or premiums than you may get in benefits...best bet is to fork out the full fee for the braces.
Reply:It may be difficult to find an insurance provider to kick in for the cost of braces if it is only for cosmetic purposes. Also, many dental insurance providers require that you pay a certain amount in premiums before they will cover anything at all. Also, they only cover a certain percentage of the work done. Find a reputable orthodontist, and ask what insurance coverage they accept, and ask if they know the insurance benefit package specs. You may also want to consider financing over time if the amount covered by the ins. company is high. The orthodontist will be able to tell you which financing packages are offered in your area. BEWARE: financing medical/dental costs are generally a high interest finance deal. They give you a certain amount of time to pay interest free, then you get slammed with a high finance rate.
Consider your options carefully. Good luck!
