what is the right way of brushing ur teeth? and tongue? plz advise other care to be taken for good teeth?

i have been having regular trips to the dentist he has told me that you need a soft tooth brush and you need to go around every tooth with rounding motion especially near the gum area for the tounge try buying a tooth brush with a backing made for tongue cleaing

Reply:I am a dentist. The old school of thought was to brush in circles or up and down rapidly, however these are old and no longer the most widely accepted way to brush. You should brush your teeth in a back and forth motion with a soft tooth brush angled at 45 degrees to tooth and gums. Google the stillman technique or visit

You should get a Sonicare brand toothbrush, they range from $30-$150 but the money spent cost less than a filling on one tooth and it will keep your mouth healthy for years to come. Also rinse with listerine and only listerine 2x a day.
