Dental Care?

My boyfriend needs 3 root canals because he wasn't able to go to the dentist for years. He has no insurance and doesn't have good credit, he lives in Arizona around Phoenix and is 18 years old. He doesn't make enough money to pay for the treatment, any suggestions?

Dental Care?
As a dentist I recommend calling your counties local Department of Family and Childrens Services. A lot of these services actually have a dentist on staff that is available to help with any dental procedures you may need. If your county DFCS office does not provide any type of dental services they should be able to put you into contact with someone who will be able to assist you (ex: another state agency). Also try your local dental school if there is one around you, these procedures are usually provided and are very low in cost compared to a dental office itself. Good luck and I hope you find the help you need.
Reply:Find a dental school looking for root canal patients
Reply:Look for a dental college. They have clinics where the studends do dental care at greatly reduced fees or even free. The students are supervised by licensed dentists. Good luck.
Reply:dental school or low income clinics
Reply:I agree with the above answers on getting treatment at a dental school. A dental school typically charges fees half that of a dentist. Even though the service is provided by dental students, they are supervised at all times and the quality of care is very good.

There are two dental schools in the Phoenix area-- Midwestern School of Dentistry in Glendale, and Arizona School of Dental and Oral Health in Mesa. You should contact them and see if they are taking patients.

Good luck.
Reply:To help you save money on your procedures, I would suggest using a dental benefits plan. Credit doesn't matter and pre-existing conditions are covered. Any dental work is expense, so it is wise to go with a plan that will save you money. I have a dental plan that is very affordable for my family. They have been around for 15 years and are the #1 Provider Access Organization in the U.S. It is only $19.95 for an entire household. If it is just you, then the cost is on $11.95 a month. There is no deductible or co-pay. Cosmetic procedures are covered. All specialists and even braces are covered. There are no caps or limits utilizing the benefits. The providers within the network are of high quality and value. Do your research at http://Stacie.OneSimpleCard.com . This plan may be of good use for you. I hope this info is helpful for you. Have a good day.
