Cheap dental care?

I live in VA and I do have dental insurance but it's still too expensive to get my teeth fixed. I need a cap, root canal, and fillings plus my wisdom teeth out. Does anyone know of a cheap way to get it done.

Cheap dental care?
To be honest with you, I do not think there is a cheap and/or inexpensive way to get done what you need. Just as with medical insurance, as soon as the dental community realized there were people with dental insurance, their rates skyrocketed. Congress and the President , whoever he has been, has done little or nothing to relieve the burden of high cost medical insurance and health care for the people. They march to a different drum trying to provide care for those who have none, but what about those of us paying over $850 a month, are retired, and live on a fixed income? We continue to be the forgotten majority!! But we do have the power of the vote. Let's use it!!

Good luck!!

Chow!!
Reply:remember, you get what you pay for. you could always do it yourself!
Reply:The best cheap dental care is prevention. But, since you went beyond that, there are clinics that give help to low income homes on a sliding fee scale. Go check it out.
Reply:Try a dental school.

Try Scirex.com this company will pay for removing your wisdom teeth if you participate in a drug trial of their pain medication. If accepted they will find a dentist in your area to remove your wisdom teeth. Good Luck!
Reply:check out ameriplan insurance
Reply:Check the dental clinics in your area. If you make too much money to qualify for care, see if there are any dental schools/colleges that would do the work for you. They ususally give supervised care very inexpensively.

Hope you find what you need.
Reply:Contact your local or state dental association and and see if there are any dentists who provide free or reduced cost care for low-income, disabled or senior patients.

Call your local health department and ask about health centers that provide dental care for free or on a sliding scale.

Your local United Way may also be aware of such a clinic. In some areas, you can reach them now by dialing 2-1-1 for "non-emergency information."

Go to a dental school, if there is one near you, for reduced costs.

Check http://www.toothwoman.net to see if low-cost or free dental services are available near you.

Check http://bphc.hrsa.gov and choose "Find a Health Center" to see if there is a low-cost clinic near you.

Check http://www.nfdh.org/DDS.html to see if your state has a "Donated Dental Services" program. D.D.S. is designed to locate dentists who will give free care to patients who are financially compromised due to medical problems. This is a process that will take a couple of months to get your information and then arrange for someone to see you. Not all states have D.D.S. programs.
Reply:check out this plan, go to
