Dental care: to those who are not going regularly or at all to the dentist. what are your reasons?

Money and the fact that my last dentist had a habit of just waiting for a cavity to form instead of telling me which area of my mouth I was not brushing enough.(I found this out one time when he neglected to close the door when he was dictating notes for my file)

Reply:Cost.
Reply:i never went to a dentist not even once untill i was 12 cuz my parents couldnt afford it but now we have more mony so if i need to go i can ( =
Reply:Hey...it's the dentist!!! Enough said. LOL
Reply:money, pain, and i am afraid the dentist will criticize EVERYTHING in my mouth.. teeth too crooked, too many cavities, not flossing enough, not brushing enough,,,etc
Reply:Dentist costs are excessive, I'd also ask WHY IN THE WORLD dentistry is overrated
Reply:i do not go to the dentist as i cannont find 1 that takes on nhs paitients, also i did find 1 dentist who took on nhs patients, but not if ur on incapcity benift.
Reply:It is a huge phobia of mine! I had a dentist as a child in TN, his name was..... you ready for this? Dr. Butcher! Honestly! His name fit. I'm 24 and cry just thinking about making an appointment!
Reply:they want to remove part of my jaw to get my wisdom teeth out and thats sounds very crappy to me. i love getting my teeth cleaned by the dentist tho... its soooo nice feeling!!
